ABOUT
Founded in 2019, Sno Bro Kollectiv is the brainchild of Ryan Tapert and Nels Garberg, who are not blood brothers but might as well be given their deep bond. Their friendship began in 2001, playing together in local Seattle bands and on their church’s worship team. Over the years, they remained close even as they pursued different career paths. Ryan’s marriage to Nels' sister in 2012 cemented their bond, making them brothers for life. With more than two decades of combined marriage experience, several children, and numerous career transitions between them, Ryan and Nels have channeled their passion, available time, and ambition into creating a business. Sno Bro Kollectiv not only fulfills their creative desires but also serves as a joyful outlet for others year after year.
Ryan Tapert
Ryan has spent the last 23 years as a professional drummer and FOH engineer, touring with nationally recognized rock bands and enhancing his skills in both live and studio settings. His extensive tours across the country have equipped him with the expertise and enthusiasm necessary to excel in every performance. Ryan also pursued studies in audio engineering and music business at Edmonds Community College, Northwest University, and New Hope Christian College. Over the past 15 years, Ryan has been involved with several local churches, working in their music and technology departments and mastering the latest advancements in audio, lighting, media, video, live streaming, and stage design. While DJing has been a personal hobby, teaming up with his brother and best friend has amplified his enjoyment and commitment to providing an unparalleled guest experience.
NELS GARBERG
From accompanying his father, a professional keyboardist, to gigs at a young age, to participating in multiple local bands, school and community orchestras, church worship teams, and producing his own music, Nels has spent nearly two decades immersed in the music industry. He is proficient in playing the guitar, bass, cello, and upright bass, and has extensive experience with all major Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) for music creation. Nels has also contributed to several albums released by local Washington artists. In 2018, he ventured into DJ services, investing in equipment and dedicating his free time to mastering it. His efforts quickly paid off as friends began requesting his services to enhance their parties and gatherings. Known for his vibrant personality, sharp sense of humor, and custom playlists, Nels ensures every event is unforgettable. Now, teaming up with Ryan, Nels continues to pursue his passion for entertaining, elevating his dreams to new heights.
